We made .89 cents per hour on the detasseling circuit, but if you stuck it out the whole season they upped it to .99. It was tough work for very little compensation. I did learn how to smoke which 25 years later was the hardest thing I ever had to quit.
See ya.

Grandma D,
I made 2.02 an hour. Tessa I had to cancel the Target swimsuits as they were not going to arrive until August 21. I ordered another from Victoria's Secret from work so I am sure the Internet police are going to come after me for shopping at work and on such an inappropriate site no less. I sent it 1 day mail.

Hi, Baltimorians.
You look soooo good, Tessa. Your eyes have that sparkle again, and I so love that sparkle!
Between your dazzling smile and sparkling eyes, I keep my "shades" right by my computer!

I am watching Mitchell today while Zanny takes a turn with a doctor's appointment. I am not
sure what we will do, but I am sure we will spend some time in his "Cubby Whole." Jerry's
going to get our neighborhood association cards today, which give us free use of the pool.
He may be a little too active for me to handle him in the water. I know we will find some
fun stuff.

I had my acupuncture treatment yesterday. They forgot to remove a needle, so I started to
walk out with a needle stuck in my leg! Yikes.

Not much else going on here. I am just loving and missing you, "Pretty Lady."

Keep up the super work!

I love you,
Gramma Judy

Good morning Tessa and Rob, Good to see that smile again. Nut Goodies are a candy bar made in Minnesota and a favorite of our kids when they packed a lunch to take corn detasseling. Remember those hot and wet corn fields Tom, Susan, and David. In the early morning they were cold and wet but it was spending money. Any one remember what the wage was per hour? Its a good thing there are lots of string bikinis in the stores these days so they don't have to be altered for Tessa. I have just finished watering my flowers with water from our new rain barrel. One more way to save good water and help the environment. Have a good one! G. Delores

Great to see that things are going well. We, too, are looking forward to the progress check to see how things are progressing. Sam's team lost their playoff baseball game last night, so now Nate, Gabe and Sam are all done with baseball and softball for the summer. Now it's just hockey (????) for Sam and soccer for Kat for the next couple of weeks. Keep up the hard work.

Just got back from my run-walk, went to your blog and there is a beautiful young lady with a beautiful smile looking at me. Way to go, Tessa Jean. How do you lose a swimming suit in the laundry? It must be in your genes. I remember a lot of socks, but that´s another story. I do not think I have ever enjoyed a Nut Goodie but it sounds great.
Beautiful day here so I think I will get out and enjoy it.
Love to All!!!

Good morning,
Hope you slept well. I fell asleep before I blogged and had to do a quick one this morning. I think the Sarsons are taking Sam this afternoon and I hope to see them tonight too. I am hoping you get your new suits today, but I really like the one Dad got you. You look so good in the pool and I love the silent "hi" on the video. You look a little happier too. I am anxious for your x ray on Friday and any report on how much longer you are. Love to see you smiling!!!!!
