(Susan): We all expected something major on our renovations yesterday. We got a big orange dumpster in the driveway and some plastic taped on the stairs and floor leading up to the new room. There is also a yellow tape measure left on the old sink (see above photo). So, maybe today the sledge hammers will come. Let's hope. My goal is to have a functional tub by the end of 2004 so Sam will not have to bathe in the kitchen sink anymore. The poor kitties are spending their days locked in an upstairs bedroom so they won't escape. I hope they survive all this. It is rainy and all our trees are turned making for a great fall day here. We will try to post some fall photos soon.
Tessa's new nine patch and star quilt came back today
Captain Jack doing his Incredible Hulk imitation (like the window stickers he is laying on)
I can't believe the difference! The bathroom looks so much better with the addition of the yellow tape measure! Did you have to pay the guys by the hour? Hope they didn't put in for a 8 hour day! Can't wait to see some real progress in the days to come. Love, Zanny

Great pictures of Sam ,Tessa with her new quilt, and Jack. I see you still have flowers that aren't frozen like all of mine were last Sat. night. This new major bathroom project is exciting for all of us to watch. I like the looks of the new Toyota Prius too. We have had just one weekend at home with nothing big going on since about July 4th and Paul is asking if we are going someplace special this weekend. A note of something different in our town; a couger was seen buy three people in the hillside area just below us on Saturday night. The DNR would like a picture or a mold of its footprint, to offically confirm its really a couger. A horse was reported by a vet to have been attacked just outside North Mankato also. Maybe we shouldn't go walking at night anymore on our street. More later, Grandma Delores

Hi.
Sorry to be so slow in posting. I must have checked too early this morning
for your new entry. :-)
The quilt is beautiful. I love the colors!
I sure hope your guys came back and got something accomplished today.
These projects can be so frustrating, especially when they don't even show up for work. There were days on end here when we were building this house that it sat empty and absolutely nothing was happening. I hope your people
do better than that. The tape measure is a nice touch though!
I just got back from a Look Good Feel Better class this afternoon. They are sponsored by the American Cancer Society for women going through treatment. I should have gone earlier as most of the others were in the middle of treatment, but it was still a nice afternoon. They gave each of us a big box of products that are donated by several different cosmetic companies. Just getting all those freebies made it well worth the trip to Ft. Myers!
I've been gathering groceries, decorations, etc., for our Friday night party.
Tomorrow I must start putting together all the food. Friday is cleaning and
decorating day. I have no idea how many out of the 60-80 + possible attendees will be here. Just so I don't run out of stuff; I would much rather have the leftovers than to run short.
I have the news on in the background and I just got confirmation that the
huge lizard I saw several months ago was indeed an iguana. They showed
a small one that looked just like it. Finally, I know for sure what I saw.
Looking forward to your next progress report. Hugs and kisses to all.
Love,
Gramma Judy
