Grandma Delores

I can't believe your tale of Jack's escape last night, at least now you know he can figure out how to get home by himself. I had an easy day yesterday going out for lunch with Judy O. and then supper with Bev S. and Diane Benson. NO dishes to wash last night which was nice, and then Dad calls from work saying the wagon wouldn't start and would I come and get him. Of course when I got there it was running after he did the Pound on Starter thing. Let us know if the pumpkins are carved yet. Love Grandma DELORES

Just wanted to add that I'm hoping the Cardinals can come back and win the World Series. Grandpa Smith would be happy to know that.

I am so relieved and glad to know that the cat saga ended on a positive note. Rob sounded terrible when I talked to him last night; he was sooo
distraught! He was a different person this morning when he called to tell us that Jack had returned and that he would be going to Belgium afterall.
What a night indeed.

We drove to Sanibel/Captiva today. Even though I have seen it since the hurricane, the devastation is still very shocking to me. We stopped at a beach for an hour or so where we saw dolphins, sting rays and a big white crane-type bird. (I should learn my Florida birds!) Mitchell loved chasing
the bird and making vocanoes in the sand. He seems to be really into volcanoes right now so we found a recipe for a volcano cake that actually
erupts! That is on tomorrow's schedule.

Not much else to report here. The weather is beautiful and we had a great day. Everyone is in bed now, and that's where I am headed as well.

Love to all ...
Gramma Judy
