(Rob:) We had a busy weekend of sports events this past weekend- here are some pics:

Sam hanging out in his basketball uni
Tessa Jean at practice last week for her club volleyball team: KC Sports with Coach Stone standing by
Abbey digging at the same practice
Saturday in Baldwin City, KS at the big volleyball tournament at Baker University. KC Sports won their first tourney a few weeks ago in Topeka. This one didn't go quite as well, but both Tessa Jean and Abbey played great and did us proud!

Sam and I left the tournament early in order to make it to his YMCA 1st grade basketball game:
Sam with his buddies in the pregame huddle
Sam guarding some behemoth (we later found out this guy was 17 years old)
The red team was up against some tough competition and was very happy on Saturday that they don't keep score at these games. Sam's still getting familiar with the game- at one point he grabbed the ball and took off on a solo coast-to-coast fast break and nearly had an uncontested layup, when his coach pointed out to him that you're not allowed to do that after a made basket without taking the ball out of bounds first.

On Sunday morning, Susan and I along with friends Beth and Kelly went up to the limestone caves north of downtown for the Groundhog Run, which all takes place underground. Susan, Beth and Kelly all ran the 5K and I ran 10 after they were finished.
The wonder women before the race in an area of the cave that was right up Kelly's alley
The women hanging with the groundhog mascot
Some of the thousands getting ready to start (you can play "find the hotties")
Sweaty and ready to get out of the cave for some fresh air ( I swear I didn't wet my pants)

For anyone hungering for more pictures from our Utah trip, click HERE to view and download the pictures and a few movie clips, too (fair warning: there are some cheesecakey shots of hairy guys in a hottub...)
What an athletic family you are! I would like to have seen Sam on his big play even if it was not allowed. His little heart must have been thumping. :-)
What's the deal with the limestone caves? I think I have heard of them, but I cant' remember their story.
We finally have a nice warm week so we are headed to the beach -- the same beach with all the awesome shells. I will let you know how it goes. :-)
Take care. Hugs to all.
Love,
Gramma Judy

Wish we could have been there to see the kids at their games. How long are these caves that you can run marathon's in them? Maybe Jesse James hid some of the money he stole in them and it is yet to be found. Very cold again here. We will meet up with Sonneks on Friday at Mayo for another chemo. G. Delores
