Going through some photos and clips from the past few months since last fall- here are some moments with family:
Last weekend Tessa and I attended our first Father-Daughter Dance for her high school last weekend. It was a costume party, and we went as Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter:
Tessa wore 6 inch heels, dwarfing Susan here before the dance:
Tessa's friends helped her put on her blonde wig:
Late for a very important date!:
The girls danced until the end of the night and had a blast:
Here's a short clip of some Glee-type jubilation:
We really had a great time, and I can't wait until next year's soiree!

Here are a few pics from Christmas at Smithwood:
Elena and Jude opening gifts with Sam:
Tessa with new Bossgarb:
Mitchell and Sam playing some PS3 (well, actually Mitchell watching Sam play the PS3):
Me with cool new Hawkeye book from Cody:
This was our group shot- we're all laughing because just before the shutter clicked, Grampa said "Everyone say sh!t!" because he always says that, but only Elena actually said it:

The kids and I took some fabulous trips to Iowa City last fall.
Here's Herky:
On Halloween weekend, we met up with my uncle Bob and cousin Becky or the Michigan Sate game. Grampa is trying to keep Bob's rabbit ear fingers from sprouting up behind his head:
Jude came with us for the Penn Sate game and had his first beer (just kidding, I think it was Dr Pepper):
In front of the Old Capital with the kiddoes:
A little frontyard football at uncle Cody's house:
I'll try to keep up a little bit better with the pics this year. Thanks to those who commented that the blog was still interesting to them. We're up to 103,000 page views since January 2004, with 335 views in the last 30 days, so I guess we'll keep it going!
Rob,
Really appreciate the pictures. On the one with Susan, Tessa looks like Suzanne.
Snow storm here again today.

Thanks for the comment, Gramma D! It looks like Susan is standing in a hole on that picture. Made me think back to when you could hold her in your two hands.
70 degrees F in KC today...

You"ve got a lot of guts, Rob. To publish pictures in that outfit took courage.
Love to All!!!

BTW how does one actually "dance" in 6 inch heels?

How come you're the only one smiling in the picture in front of the Old Capitol? Was that toward the end of your 12 mile forced march tour of the campus? JK....Nice stuff.
