One cool thing about being a comic book geek is going to comic book conventions! There's a common misperception out there that these events are populated by a bunch of pimpley-faced, overweight, Klingon-speaking, socially awkward nerds who emerge from their parents' basements periodically for these annual assemblies of similarly-abled dorks. In fact, nothing could be farther from the truth! Hardly any of us speak Klingon! (You may be thinking of Star Trek conventions, which are way different).
Anyway, this past weekend, the annual Planet ComicCon met in Overland Park, KS! The highlight for me was the chance for some face time with one of my childhood crushes, Lindsay Wagner- a.k.a. Jaime Sommers!
Here we are on Saturday:
And here's how she looked back in the day:
Pretty exciting! In the past 10 years I've met Julie Newmar (Catwoman) and Yvonne Craig (Batgirl). I'm Lynda Carter and Wilma Flintstone away from meeting all of my childhood TV crushes.

Our KC weather has been crazy- here are some daffodils blooming in the backyard last week:
And this was the snowy scene in the backyard this morning:
Looking forward to 67 degrees by the end of the week, though.
Great pics, Rob. We are having the same problem with Spring arriving up here. My childhood TV crush was Annette Funacello on the Mickey Mouse Club.

Give me Wonder Woman. Still fantasizing at 63. Did Lindsay have any Sleep Nnumber beds with her?
