You know those Christmas letters you get where the person goes on and on about how brilliant and intelligent and over-achieving their kids are? This post will be like that.
Here's Sam with his Iowa Test results, which I believe is an exam that you take in elementary school to see if you have the chops to potentially go to the University of Iowa someday. As you can see by the bars, Samson has Hawkeye potential!
Tessa received this award AND a medal on Tuesday for excellence in something called "Latin", which, I believe, is a new language that wasn't around when I went to high school.
Nice job, Carmen! (Her Latin name.)
Tessa was part of a fine arts review at her high school last night, and a lot of her drawings were displayed. One was even chosen for the cover of the program! (I'll post that soon)
Here are a couple examples of her work:

Again, excellent work, Peach!

This is just a picture I really like from our visit to Alcatraz last weekend. The cellblock is only part of the attraction- there were some beautiful flowers and sea birds as well.

Sam hooping it up:
I hope to post some more pics from the San Francisco trip this weekend.
Very proud Grampa up here in Hawkeye land. Love the test scores and the drawings. I took Spanish so long in college they thought I was majoring in it.
Love to All!!!

I think the University of Iowa had better start recruiting Tessa and Sam both right now. Lots of talent there. Nice form on the jump shot by Sam.
