"The Peach" with original art peach still life from Aunt Michelle!
(Rob:) Just a quick post tonight- not much to report here. Susan quilted tonight while I puttered and the kids played together. They had an elaborate drama going on in which Tessa played the role of "Lindsey" (short for "Mackenzie") and Sam was "Danny", and they were apparently members of a rock band who have a side business of tearing all of the cushions off of living room furniture and stacking them into piles that act as an "amusement park." I briefly played the role of "Pete", who was in charge of getting the "stuff."
(My only line:
Lindsey- "Pete, is the stuff here yet?"
Pete- "Uh, yeah, it's in the other room," I guessed before improvising:
"Be careful, it smells really bad," not knowing exactly what "the stuff" actually was)
After watching "The Amazing Race," our only summer TV guilty pleasure, another day was done.

He's got radiocative blood
Can he swing on a thread?
Take a look overhead"

• Daily Sci-Fi Movie Quote:
"In times long past, this planet was the home of a mighty, noble race of beings who called themselves the Krel. Ethically and technologically they were a million years ahead of humankind, for in unlocking the meaning of nature they had conquered even their baser selves, and when in the course of eons they had abolished sickness and insanity, crime and all injustice, they turned, still in high benevolence, upwards towards space. Then, having reached the heights, this all-but-divine race disappeared in a single night, and nothing was preserved above ground."

Way to go on the improv - hard to see all that talent go to waste while you are toiling away as a surgeon.........
Sounds like the Padaman theme song.
Stay cool,
Tom
