(Rob:) We started our new summer exercise program tonight: we're going to walk 2 miles every night, down to the Meyer Circle Fountain and back. It went pretty well tonight- Tessa Jean rode her scooter and Sam was on his tricycle, and Hootie was on his leash. Here's a timer shot picture of the whole clan (sans cats):
Here's the cats, very happy that they didn't have to come along:
Some other random images from the fountain:
One of Susan's cool flowers from the garden outside the back door. Not to get too botanical, but this one is called a "red" flower (some would call this a "large red" flower.)
Tessa Jean continues to do well in therapy, so well that we may look at doing her exercises at home exclusively after we see the doctor in Baltimore next week. We picked up a mat and some weights similar to the equipment they use at Children's Mercy for our home exercise room. She's up to over 100 degrees of knee flexion pretty consistently now!
New Feature: "Rob's Culture Corner!"
This is where I plug CD's, movies, DVD's, books or TV shows that I think are worth mentioning (those who disagree should go get their own blogs...)
Last week I told you about Ricky Fanté, a classic soul singer from the Otis Redding school. If you like him, you might also like Ellis Hooks- another soulful voice but with more of a bluesy sound than straight 60's R&B like Ricky Fanté. Check him out!

• Daily TV Theme Song Lyric: (this one is sort of a trick question)
"Beyond
The rim of the star-light
My love
Is wand'ring in star-flight
I know
He'll find in star-clustered reaches
Love,
Strange love a star woman teaches.
I know
His journey ends never
His star trek
Will go on forever.
But tell him
While he wanders his starry sea
Remember, remember me."
